Entretemps: Emergency accommodation


The Foundation supports "Entretemps" [Meanwhile], one of the main social-emergency associations in Lyon, started in 1967. Entretemps operates in greater Lyon receiving—especially in railway stations—people in difficulty, whether with moral, social or financial problems, and deals with their immediate needs in liaison with institutions and other suitable associations.

Refurbish the showers and renew bedding to enable access to personal hygiene facilities at Point Nuit, an emergency centre for homeless women in distress. This centre is opened 24/7 and can accommodate 25 women.

Refurbish the kitchen at the Auvent, an emergency centre for single women with children. The objective is to provide good hygienic facilities for these Mums to prepare meals for themselves and their children and to provide an environment conducive to nurturing their relationship with their children.

Support the training of a Social worker
Fund the training of a Rwandan refugee, currently working in an accommodation centre, to qualify as an Educational Assistant. This lady has been selected on account of her outstanding interpersonal skills and listening capability.
