Solidarity for health and well-being
The Gattefossé Foundation supports solidarity actions to help the poorest and most vulnerable, those who have no access to health, welfare and creature comforts.
It not only acts in terms of infrastructures and the revamping of facilities, but also in human requirements—encouraging staff training to improve the life and health conditions of the most fragile.
Improving the scientific and biological capacities in Cambodia in partnership with the Mérieux Foundation
The two Foundations share the same will to support public health efforts and improve the access and the quality of care in developing countries.
In 2009, the Gattefossé Foundation has participated in financing the medical biology laboratory renovation of the Khmer-Soviet Friendship Hospital in Phnom Penh, to provide health professionals with premises that comply entirely with regulations and with the most high performance diagnostic technology.
Today, the Gattefossé Foundation contributes to train a new generation of professional health specialists, who in turn will be able to guarantee the teaching of tomorrow.
"The Gattefossé Foundation contribution is essential because it will increase the impact of the means already committed by the Mérieux Foundation in Cambodia."François-Xavier Babin, Project Head, Mérieux Foundation Asia
Improving the living conditions of those living in emergency accommodation centres
Often deprived of health, comfort and well-being, those admitted to these centres add moral and psychological suffering to their physical distress.
The Foundation helps to improve access to body hygiene care and quality of living spaces, by providing basic comfort and well-being. It finances the renovation of facilities for a better hygiene. It also supports the training of a social worker.
By improving areas reserved for personal hygiene the Gattefossé Foundation contributes to the implementation of key elements that help restore a feeling of self-esteem." Hennÿ Beyer, president of Entretemps Association
