Professor Robert Anton
Robert Anton is Emeritus Professor at the University of Strasbourg; he is also a member of the National Academies of Pharmacy and Medicine, and the French Ministry of Health's High Council for Public Health. As a specialist in substances and natural products used in drugs, cosmetics and food supplements he provides expert guidance to organizations that include AFSSAPS (French Agency for Health Product Safety), AFSSA (French Food Safety Agency), EFSA (European Food Safety Authority), and the Council of Europe's Public Health Committee. He has authored more than 300 scientific publications and about 30 books about pharmacognosy, in particular the pharmaco-chemical and toxicological properties of plants.

Hassan Benameur has been working in galenical pharmaceutics for fifteen years. He earned a doctorate in Pharmaceutical Sciences at the Free University of Belgium. He received the Academy of Sciences and Pharmaceutical Technology of Japan prize in 2005 and speaks at many industrial and academic symposia in the USA, Japan and Europe. He is currently Senior Manager and member of the Board of Directors of Capsugel, a division of Pfizer.

Bill Charman is Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences and director of the Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences of Monash University in Melbourne, Australia. He has received many national and international awards for his research in pharmaceutical sciences. He has written over 350 articles and scientific publications and sits on several company boards and various Scientific Committees. He now chairs the Wellcome Trust's Seeding Drug Discovery Funding Committee.

Dr. Marek Haftek is a dermatologist and research director at the French National Scientific Research Centre (CNRS) who currently heads the Dermatological Research Laboratory at Lyon 1 University, doing research into "normal and pathological functions of the skin barrier." As a specialist in ultrastructural research he is a member of several national and international scientific societies, and the European Epidermal Research Network. He also sits on the Steering Committee of the National Dermatology Research Programme.

After his tenure as Professor in the Department of Pharmacy at the University of Leiden and at the Amsterdam Pharmaceutical Research Centre, Hans Junginger is now a regular working visitor in universities in Thailand, Singapore, Slovenia and Egypt. As an internationally recognized expert in pharmaceutics and vaccines, as well as in the development of cosmetic skin-care products, he is on the Boards of several international federations.

A Research and Development Engineer in lipochemistry, Bruno Mahler has held several general management functions, plus scientific and technical advisory posts in Gattefossé since 1974. Grandson of René-Maurice Gattefossé, he is the son of Germaine Gattefossé and Emile Mahler, a chemist whose oleochemistry research marked the history of Gattefossé.

Professor Bernard Testa
Bernard Testa is professor emeritus at the University of Lausanne and a volunteer scientific assistant at the Lausanne Hospital, Switzerland. For 25 years he was Director of Therapeutic Chemistry at the University of Lausanne where he was also Dean of the Faculty of Sciences. He has authored or co-authored over 450 articles about the design and metabolism of drugs. He has a doctorate honoris causa in the Universities of Montpellier, Parma and Milan, and is a member of several international scientific societies.
