Direct compression

Compritol® 888 ATO is a fine powder of well-defined particle size with excellent tabletting properties. In direct compression it offers multiple functions, depending on the method and level of excipient use.

• In direct compression, Compritol^® 888 ATO is a universal tablet lubricant when used at concentrations of under ~3%. 
• At higher use levels (5 to 30%) direct compression with Compritol^® 888 ATO can produce a water insoluble matrix for sustained drug release (SR).
